The Full Gospel for All!!
Hobart Full Gospel Church is a multicultural church in the heart of the city. Pioneered in 2004 by Pastor Paul J B Kim and his wife, Young Sook Lee, the church began with Korean members.
With a heart to reach all people the church now has English and Korean language services.
All are welcome to join us as we worship the Lord Jesus together. Our church is a ‘grand daughter’ of Yeouido Full Gospel Church, Seoul Korea and also an affiliate of Australian Christian Churches formerly known as Assemblies of God.
Bible-based preaching underpins our message that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world.
Our Vision Centre
The multicultural Vision Centre being built next door to the church will be open by the end of 2014.
It will provide a Christian fellowship area and café, Christian life and language studies in the lecture room. There will be information and accommodation available for new-comers to Australia.
My house will be called a house of prayer of all nations (Mk 11:17) I will awaken the dawn (Ps 57:8). Every morning, Monday to Friday, from 6 to 7am, there is a prayer meeting at the church
A Bible study fuels faith for the prayer that follows. Friday morning is in English, other days in Korean.
This distinctive stone church, in High Victorian Gothic style with French overtones, was built in 1870 – 72 to the design of the local architect Francis Butler for the Congregational denomination The organ was built in 1879 by George Fincham and rebuilt in 1939. The founders’ aspirations are to be seen in the large stained glass window at the front, “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” The aspirations of those devout Christians continue with Full Gospel Hobart, a self-governing, Bible-proclaiming local church.
